This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the
resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject and
investigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source,
and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed is
for the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator.
This study examined pregnancy outcomes over the course of the subject's pregnancy through three months postpartum. Physical examinations and urine and blood tests will be conducted during the subject's pregnancy and during the postpartum time period, as well as interviews with the subject regarding her pregnancy. A complete medical history will also be obtained. This information will be used to gain a better understanding of the relationship between pregnancy success and low complement deficiencies in women with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) or Antiphospholipid syndrome (APS). The study will seek to measure the following outcomes/events: 1) unexplained fetal death occurring 12 weeks after gestation, 2) neonatal death prior to hospital discharge and due to complications of prematurity, 3) indicated preterm delivery prior to 36 weeks' gestation because of gestational hypertension, pre-eclampsia or placental insufficiency, and 4) intrauterine growth restriction (IUGR) which is defined as neonatal birth weight less than the 10th percentile for gestational age. Further, the study will also seek to identify whether classical, alternative, and terminal complement pathway activation will be detected in the circulation and placenta of patients with aPL antibodies, and associated with poor pregnancy outcomes.

(4)Incontictional(4)Incontional in Intratife and AtaTimentAntional in Intaintictimation(4)小于胎龄的第10个百分点。
