i-agree is a UK-based legal/software SME with a core project team of Helen Cutler (solicitor/director of OmniSign) and Chris Fortune (software architect/director/CTO of OmniSign).1 in 5 UK adults are 'functionally illiterate', with younger people's literacy failing the fastest (Literacy Trust 2019). This means people may not fully read or understand the terms/conditions of contracts. Engagement with digital texts is even more superficial, the length and language used is overwhelming. It is simple and quick to click 'yes', and people may not realise they are entering into a legally binding agreement. There is currently no solution available that confirms people have understood a digital contract before signing. This can cost individuals and businesses time and money resolving issues such as legal disputes and loss of customer protection.i-agree is developing a platform that ensures 'key term substantiation' (testing of understanding) in an accessible format, using audio-visual technology that is legal and secure. This solution will combine text to speech, video generation, video recording and voice recognition to offer a verified video signature process.i-agree will enable everyone to create, execute and store legally binding agreements regardless of literacy levels or legal language knowledge. Post-contract disputes will be reduced and easier to resolve, as there will be accurate evidence of the agreement particulars that cannot be tampered with.Uniquely, i-agree will test users' understanding to ensure informed consent. The 'signature' will include a link to a video in which the user agrees the terms. This combination of a digital signature/consent video is a market first.
I-Agree是一家总部位于英国的法律/软件中小企业,由Helen Cutler(Omnisign的律师/总监)和Chris Fortune(Omnisign的软件架构师/总监/CTO)的核心项目团队。
