"SignWriting" by the American movement analyst Valerie Sutton is a very practical writing system for sign languages and it can describe a sign or a signed sentence for everyday purposes. The application of this system to Japanese Sign Language (JSL) resulted in indications that the system is effective enough to "write" JSL. In order to incorporate this method into the education for Japanese deaf children, a practical usage of the system for deaf education in Germany is researched and it became clear that "SignWriting" has a great impact on the education of deaf children.

美国运动分析师瓦莱丽·萨顿（Valerie Sutton）的“签名”是标志语言非常实用的写作系统，它可以描述日常目的的标志或签名句子。该系统在日语手语（JSL）中的应用导致该系统足以“写入” JSL的迹象。为了将这种方法纳入日本聋哑儿童的教育中，研究了德国聋哑教育系统的实际用法，很明显，“签名”对聋哑儿童的教育产生了重大影响。
