项目摘要
The goal of the project is accelerate introduction of the Murb wind turbine into the telecommunications market. The project output will be a detailed product design package , for a micro grid system that features an adaption of the Murb Wind Turbine that charges a Battery Storage Unit (BSU) or Hybrid Generator. The system will power telecoms equipment such as cell towers. The micro-grid system will be monitored and controlled remotely and digitally by software and hardware that allows for remote access from the internet. The project will focus on detailed design that is informed by focussed end user engagement and collaboration, such that a valuable and viable solution is defined, and ready to be offered for sale to the wider telecoms industry, prior to any manufacturing and production activities, to achieve a lean and informed product. The project phases are presented below:1. Project Engineer Training2. User and System Requirements via End User Collaboration.3. Conceptual Design4. Detailed DesignThe project will prepare and enable introduction of the Murb to the remote telecommunications sector, to power remote cell towers. Murcott Energy understands the value of end user engagement to define a system design, from projects for other clients such as Network Rail and Suez, whereby design reviews with key stakeholders have ensured all user and system requirements and fulfilled prior design freeze and manufacture. For this project, the Murb will be part of a micro grid system that can power remote telecoms equipment such as cell phone towers.A digital controls system is required for the wind turbine, and for the Battery Storage Unit (BSU), such that the energy harvested and transferred to the telecoms equipment efficiently. The wind turbine, BSU and digital control system, will form the micro grid - enabling a cell phone towers to be independent of the national grid. The micro grid will offer two innovations:* A deployable and sustainable power supply for cell tower site operators, that can displace 150,000 diesel generators that are used globally for telecommunications, and the associated carbon footprint.* Greater geographic scope for cell towers, that were previously unsustainable due to their remoteness from the national grid, and the logistics of refuelling a diesel generator. The result will offer greater and sustainable network coverage, providing the associated benefits of increased communication to people and communities.
The micro grid will offer two innovations:* A deployable and sustainable power supply for cell tower site operators, that can displace 150,000 diesel generators that are used globally for telecommunications,以及相关的碳足迹。*细胞塔的地理范围更大,由于它们与国家电网的遥远以及为柴油发电机加油的物流而言,这些含量是不可持续的。结果将提供更大且可持续的网络覆盖范围,从而提供了增加与人和社区沟通的相关优势。
