项目摘要
RootWave is the brand of Ubiqutek Ltd.RootWave designs and sells products that use electricity to kill weeds (eWeeding). Weed control is critical for food production.Herbicides are being restricted and banned around the world by regulators because of safety and resistance concerns. Manufacturers are withdrawing herbicides from markets that are now unprofitable due to litigation costs. Consumers are increasingly buying organic food because of safety concerns.RootWave's patented and proprietary technology gives better weed control at a lower cost than herbicides and other alternative technologies, whilst protecting our health and helping nature sequester carbon and restore its soils, water and biodiversity.RootWave sells its hand-weeder designed for parks, gardens and invasive species such as Japanese Knotweed. RootWave developed and trialled a pre-production prototype for orchards and vineyards as part of a Transforming Food Production grant project. RootWave is delivering several machines to early adopters during the first half of 2024\.This project iterate pre-production prototype of its fruit machine to reduce costs, collect extensive user feedback on product, address quality issues, add must-have features requested by early adopters, and ensure the design is ready for production.RootWave's products can make a significant impact to the world by saving herbicide sprayed in our environment, single-use plastic manufactured for herbicide containers, and energy generated for the manufacture of herbicides.
