MyHelp has been created to enhance the road to recovery for those requiring support with their mental health and wellbeing.It is a digital tool aimed at strengthening the relationship between both a Mental Health Practitioner (this could be a therapist, counsellor, or someone else) and an Individual receiving support.Many self-help apps exist, but none mirror the work undertaken by the human therapists.MyHelp is different. It focuses on the human interaction between practitioners and individuals, whilst also providing access to an exclusive digital platform which can capture and share key elements from both parties of the therapy journey.MyHelp doesn't just empower and support therapists: it's a one-stop-shop for therapy that can be personalised and focus on the specific requirements of the individual as directed by the therapist whilst collating all the elements of therapy under one digital umbrella.The therapist can create bespoke resources that will target the specific needs of those needing support and are made available on the personalised mobile MyHelp app that is always available for the Individual to manage their own self-care.MyHelp wants every Individual to have the best chances of getting to a better place with the Practitioner having access to tools that can empower them in the support they provide. This increases engagement and provides a bespoke long-term record for the benefit of the individual to use now and in the future when situations could reoccur.Public funding is being used to support the development, adoption and spread of this new innovative approach to support individuals with personalised self-care of their mental health. This project provides the opportunity to engage with both practitioners and patients in real world settings and provide feedback that will enhance the overall experience from both perspectives and ultimately improve the therapeutic relationship and patient outcomes.MyHelp, recognises the importance of data security particularly that of individuals mental health records hence it has plans to utilise this project to strengthen the security and data protection of data included within the MyHelp platform to provide users with added confidence and assurance.
