项目摘要
The purposes of this study are as follows :(1) to specify the type of processing that places a burden on the Wbrking Memory(WM) of Japanese EFL learners and(2) to explore whether WM capacity influences syntactic parsing strategies, by using temporarily ambiguous prepositional phrases. The main results show that(1) syntactic processing places a heavy cognitive load on WM resources, thereby leaving few resources for storage ftlnctions, and also that the proficiency of Japanese EFL learners largely depends on the degree of automatization of syntactic processmg.(2) In processing temporarily ambiguous sentences with prepositional phrases, Japanese EFL learners follow the Minimal Attachment Strategy and deploy pragnlatic cues while parsing sentences, irrespective of WM capacity.
这项研究的目的如下:(1)指定日本EFL学习者的负担(WM)负担的处理类型,以及(2)探索WM容量是否通过使用暂时歧义的介词介词介绍性介入酶来影响句法解析策略。主要结果表明,(1)句法处理在WM资源上承受着沉重的认知负荷,因此很少有资源进行存储ftlnctions,而且日本EFL学习者的熟练程度很大程度上取决于句法过程的自动化程度。解析句子,不论WM能力如何。
