项目摘要
This study clarified the mechanisms of severe destructive changes in the spinal components in patients treated with long-term hemodialysis. Distribution of amyloid deposition and destruction of facet joints and disc-body unit were manifested through this project. At site of severe body destruction in vertebral bodies, the activity of osteoclasts was enhanced and that of osteoblasts was completely suppressed. This local pathology played an important role in establishment of server spinal destructive changes. The ideal spinal reconstruction procedures were proposed and the clinical outcomes in cervical reconstruction were published in the international journal of Spine. The results of this strudy were accepted for presentation in many international meetings or symposiums. Spinal fusion rate and surgery success rates were dramatically improved by our invented surgical procedures. This study had a great contribution for the establishment of secure spinal reconstruction surgery for the patients suffering destructive spondyloarhtropathy associated with long-term hemodialysis.
