Solid-liquid two phase flow pumps are widely used in Chinese industrial field. Many research on flow phenomena of solid and liquid in a pump impeller were carried out. There, however, has not been enough information on the relations of flow structure to pump performance. This research project was planned to make clear the flow phenomena and to establish the method of performance prediction by experimental and theoretical research. The experimental research was made at Kyushu Institute of Technology. Thinghua University took charge of theoreticalresearch.In Kyushu Institute of Technology, pressure fluctuation measurement and flow visualization in a slurry pump impeller were carried out for variety of volumetric particle concentration, diameter and density. The pressure drop distribution and pressure fluctuation distribution were measured in an open impeller of slurry pump using phase-lock-averaging technique. Moreover, a nonuniform distribution of particle concentration was observed by use of CCD camera and picture processing technique. As a result of the present study, the relationship between pressure distribution and pump performance with flow rate were made clear from the experimental data.In Thinghua University, the flow patterns in a centrifugal pump impeller was investigated by numerical flow analysis. The calculated pressure distribution was compared with the corresponding experimental data. and showed good agreement with measured one.
固液两相流泵在中国工业领域得到广泛应用。人们对泵叶轮中固体和液体的流动现象进行了许多研究。然而,关于流动结构与泵性能之间的关系还没有足够的信息。本研究项目旨在通过实验和理论研究阐明流动现象并建立性能预测方法。实验研究是在九州工业大学进行的。清华大学负责理论研究。九州工学院针对各种体积颗粒浓度、直径和密度,对渣浆泵叶轮内的压力脉动测量和流动可视化进行了研究。采用锁相平均技术测量了渣浆泵开式叶轮的压降分布和压力脉动分布。此外,利用CCD相机和图像处理技术观察到颗粒浓度的不均匀分布。本研究的结果是,从实验数据中明确了压力分布和泵性能与流量之间的关系。在清华大学,通过数值流动分析研究了离心泵叶轮中的流动模式。将计算的压力分布与相应的实验数据进行比较。并与测量的结果表现出良好的一致性。
