Prostate cancer (PCa) is the male malignant tumor with the highest incidence rate in European and American countries, and its incidence rate in China shows an increasing trend year by year. The research on the regulatory mechanism of prostate cell fate is of great significance for the diagnosis and treatment of prostate diseases. However, the cell models for prostate research are extremely scarce, which has seriously affected the progress of basic and clinical application research related to the prostate. In recent years, organoid culture technology has brought revolutionary changes to the fields of stem cell and tumor research, and has also greatly promoted the progress of prostate research. This review outlines the application of prostate organoid culture technology in the field of prostate-related research, discusses the advantages and disadvantages of this technology, and looks forward to the broad application prospects of this technology.
前列腺癌(prostate cancer,PCa)是欧美国家发病率第一的男性恶性肿瘤,其在中国的发病率呈逐年上升趋势。前列腺细胞命运调控机理的研究对前列腺疾病的诊断和治疗具有重要的意义,但是前列腺研究的细胞模型极其匮乏,严重影响了前列腺相关的基础和临床应用研究进展。近年来,类器官培养技术为干细胞和肿瘤研究领域带来了革命性的变化,同时也极大地推动了前列腺研究的进展。该综述概述了前列腺类器官培养技术在前列腺相关研究领域中的应用,讨论了该项技术的优势以及不足之处,并对该技术广阔的应用前景进行了展望。
