From July 2016 to March 2017, the permanganate index of 18 monitoring samples in the Datong Lake water body was monitored and analyzed in four quarters. The results showed that the average concentration of the permanganate index (CODMn) in the whole lake was the highest in summer in Datong Lake, reaching 5.07 mg/L, followed by that in autumn, which was 4.41 mg/L, and it was the lowest in winter and spring. The spatial distribution of the annual average value of CODMn in Datong Lake was that the concentration at the lake inlet was significantly higher than that in the central lake area, and the difference in CODMn concentration between the lake inlet and the central lake area was particularly significant during the wet season. In the pollution control and management as well as ecological restoration of Datong Lake, non-point source pollution such as agricultural pollution will be the key point of pollution prevention and control.
