"The man takes care of the outside affairs while the woman takes care of the inside affairs" is a traditional family division of labor model. In today's era of advocating "gender equality", especially whether the equality of access to education has affected women's unpaid labor time investment in the family is a proposition with theoretical and practical value. This article adopts the Probit and Tobit methods and uses the samples of adults and families in the China Health and Nutrition Survey (CHNS) in 2011 to conduct an empirical analysis on the question of whether receiving more education reduces women's unpaid labor time in the family. The research results show that: whether from the two dimensions of labor participation rate or labor time, receiving more education does not significantly reduce women's unpaid labor in the family, indicating that the traditional family time allocation model of "the man takes care of the outside affairs while the woman takes care of the inside affairs" still exists, and it also shows that receiving more education is not an effective measure to effectively reduce women's unpaid labor in the family.
