项目摘要
The results obtained in the research period are summarized as follows.(1) The oceanic turbulence around Japan-Islands-Chain was monitored by the direct capturing NOAA/AVHRR data through the high resolution HRPT mode. Based on the data, some phenomonology was obtained on the inverse cascade process of oceanic turbulence and on the interlocking process.(2) Applying the SeaMark method to the NOAA/HRPT data, an instantaneous turbulence measurement was conducted to quantitatively describe the turbulence phenomena.(3) The data and resulta obtained by the satellite monitoring were archived as the enhanced satellite images, sea surface velocity vector distribution map, sea surface vorticity distribution map and as the other kinds of thematic maps.(4) By the hydrodynamical model test on a rotating system and by the numerical experiment, some turbulence processes were simulated in the laboratory ; i.e.the eddy shedding mechanism of the cusped capes, the inverse cascade process of turbulence, the interlocking process of the coherent structure due to the seabed topography, etc.(5) The results were opened electronically through the internet.(6) The results were published as the report titled "The Coherent Structure inside the Oceanic Turbulence around Japan-Islands-Chain".
研究期间取得的成果如下:(1)通过高分辨率HRPT模式直接捕获NOAA/AVHRR数据对日本列岛周围的海洋湍流进行监测。基于这些数据,获得了海洋湍流逆级联过程和连锁过程的一些现象学。(2)将SeaMark方法应用于NOAA/HRPT数据,进行瞬时湍流测量,定量描述湍流现象。 (3)卫星监测获得的数据和结果归档为增强卫星图像、海面速度矢量分布图、海面涡度分布图等(4)通过旋转系统的水动力模型试验和数值实验,在实验室模拟了部分湍流过程;即尖角海角的涡流脱落机制、湍流的逆级联过程、海底地形引起的相干结构的连锁过程等。(5)结果通过互联网电子开放。(6)结果发表题为“日本列岛链周围海洋湍流内部的相干结构”的报告。
